Juan A Serna, CVT
Besides Obtaining a Certified Veterinary Technician license from the Texas Veterinary Medical Association, Juan is also certified in small animal first aid and CPR by Pets America. He has 20 years of experience in the veterinary field including practice in emergency critical care and specialty work in internal medicine. Juan also has a Bachelor’s and Masters degree in music education and performance from Southwest Texas State University. His pets include 2 Chihuahuas named Linda and Baby, and a Sharpei mix named Dakota. Juan has recently become a veterinary management consultant for several veterinary hospitals around Texas. He is an executive coach for Comprehensive Veterinary Management Solutions. He had been selected for this position because of his continued management success at Eagle Veterinary Hospital.
Mark Maldonado, Lead Veterinary Technician
Mark was born and raised here in San Antonio. He has 12 years experience as a veterinary technician and is very talented and skilled in this profession. He comes to us from Phoenix, Arizona where he was a certified dental/lab technician for 3 years. Besides being a big sports fan, especially for the San Antonio Spurs and Dallas Cowboys, he enjoys spending time at church. He has recently converted to Christianity and devotes his time leading the church choir. Mark has 5 children including 4 daughters and 1 son. He is also a proud owner of a Rottweiler named Kylo.
Matthew was born and raised in San Antonio. He graduated from Smithson Valley High School in 2014. On his free time, he enjoys spending valuable time with friends and family. Matt has three Labrador Retrievers named Blondie, Kelly, and Hershey, and a Shih-Tzu named Penny. Matt loves working with animals and always looks forward to helping clients and their beloved pets.
Ursula is from San Antonio, Texas. She brings to us over 10 years of experience. Eight of those years was with a specialty practice. She attended San Antonio College and The University of the Incarnate Word, where she received a degree in Biology. She is the proud owner of 2 small Chihuahuas and 3 cats. She loves spending her spare time with her son, Elijah. They love bird watching and working on her flower beds.
Riley was born in Waco, Texas, but moved and was raised here in San Antonio. He started working in the veterinary field right after graduating from high school in 2012. He now has 5 years experience and enjoys his working with animals. He is currently working on his certification in veterinary technology. He is the proud owner of 1 mix breed dog named Buster and a cute little parakeet named Chico.

Lindsay comes to Eagle Veterinary Hospital with over 22 years experience, mainly with both wild and exotic animals. She recently moved to San Antonio from Torrance, California in South Los Angeles County. She owns a Chihuahua named Orange, and two turtles named Beans and Dollar. Recently, she has adopted four cats named Carl, Bob, Mango, and Coconut! She also has two other dogs named Bear and Archie. Lindsay is a former high school and college All-American athlete, participating in softball, soccer, dance team and cheerleading competitions as well as swimming! She spends her time with her husband, their two sons; Gibson and Joaquin, and their two daughters; Dylan and Julia. In her spare time she enjoys baking delicious cupcakes, kickboxing, reading, shopping, or just sleeping.
Rosalinda was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. She has been in the veterinary field for over 13 years as a veterinary technician and a veterinary receptionist! She enjoys spending time with her family and friends; watching movies, taking long road trips and shopping. She is a proud owner of a French Bulldog named Blake and a domestic long hair feline named Bailey, that she rescued as a kitten!
Eduardo was born in Dallas, Texas and raised in Mexico. He recently began working in the veterinary field and has high hopes in becoming a veterinarian for exotic animals as well as a paleontologist. Eduardo is a proud owner of a ball python named Akasha and a German Shepherd mix named William. In his spare time, he reads books about paleontology and enjoys taking his dog, William to parks and on mini road trips. Eduardo plans to fulfill one of his biggest ambitions: to open a sanctuary for endangered large cats like the lion, cheetah, tiger, and snow leopard.
Joel is a native San Antonian, born and raised here. He claims he loves it here so much that he has only been out of Texas two times in his whole life. He has always loved to work with animals, but his passion grew more after his beloved dog, Collic, passed away. He wants to help animals as much as he can. He comes to us with 1 year experience in kennel work. During his spare time, Joel is a singer/songwriter and spends most of his time composing and playing songs on his acoustic guitar.
