Matt Martinez

Practice Manager

I have been practicing as a Veterinary Technician Supervisor since 2011. I pride myself on my ability to think of the little things that may affect my patients and try to help every patient be as comfortable as possible. I am passionate about creating a space in my clinic where my patients, their parents, and my staff alike can be educated and succeed. In my free time, I like to watch movies and hang out with my family. I have 2 human kids and 5 fur kids (4 cats and one chihuahua, so basically 5 cats) I also like to play paintball with friends and try new restaurants around the city.

Alyssa

Lead Veterinary Technician

I’m Alyssa, a veterinary technician with nearly six years of experience in the veterinary field. Over the years, I have found a passion for surgery and dentistry, two essential aspects of improving the lives of our furry friends. My passion for veterinary medicine began at a young age and has developed into a desire to educate owners and enhance the well-being of their pets. Outside work, my world revolves around my two golden retrievers, Theron and Delilah. My favorite moments are spent exploring the outdoors with them, whether we’re hiking through the Texas hill country, playing fetch at the park, or simply soaking up the sunshine. Beyond my own fur babies, I find joy in helping others navigate the journey of caring for their own pets, helping them to make informed decisions, and ensuring their furry companions lead happy, healthy lives. As a vet tech, my greatest joy comes from seeing the bonds between pets and their owners strengthened through compassionate care and guidance.

Angelina

Veterinary Technician

I’m Angelina, a veterinary technician with a heart for animals and a love for being outdoors with friends and family. My passion for animals led me to pursue a career in veterinary medicine early on. My journey to being a vet tech began with my first job working as a kennel technician, which sparked my interest in veterinary science. I adopted my own furry companion: a loyal, loving dog named Koata, who I found as a stray. She quickly became my best friend and the best hiking buddy. When I’m not caring for animals at work or walking different trails with Koata, I enjoy trying restaurants around San Antonio, going to the firearms range with my dad and partner, and spending quality time with my friends and family.

Celeste

Veterinary Technician

Hey, I’m Celeste. I have been a veterinary technician and level 1 CVA at Eagle Vet since April 2023. I have always loved animals—especially the more non-traditional pets. As a child, I was the proud owner of rabbits, hamsters, turtles, fish, and various other critters. As an adult, I have two lovely cats named Kiwi and Opal. I moved from California to Texas in 2019 and graduated from Trinity University in May 2023 with a bachelor’s in Biology. In August 2024, I will start Veterinary School at Texas A&M and will graduate around 2028. While I am undecided about my future plans, I am interested in exotics and mixed animal medicine. Outside of work, I enjoy horseback riding, trap and skeet shooting, and singing in a local choir.

Maricruz

Lead CSR

I’m Maricruz, I am the lead receptionist here at Eagle Vet. I have a passion for animals that shines in all areas of my life. I have always been surrounded by family pets and local wildlife, allowing my love for animals to blossom at a young age. From the moment I started working in the veterinary world in 2016, I knew I had found my calling. Here at Eagle Veterinary Hospital, I enjoy approaching each day with enthusiasm and compassion, whether I am scheduling appointments, comforting worried pet owners, or simply showering pets with love. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time in nature, exploring hiking trails with my dog, and unwinding with a good book. My furry family members include Cooper, a loyal and energetic Pomeranian, and two cats, Dante and Elvis, who keep me entertained with their antics and affection.

Abby

CSR

Hey, I’m Abby. I am a receptionist here at Eagle Veterinary Hospital. I was born and raised in Georgia before moving to Texas and developing a huge love for plants and animals. After graduating high school, I pursued various receptionist positions–from a law firm to dog boarding companies–where I became known for my ability to greet everyone with a warm smile. With a goal to pursue the medical side of animal care, I started working as a customer service representative here at Eagle Veterinary Hospital. I takes pride in ensuring that every client and their pet feels welcome from the moment they step through the door with my warm personality and caring nature. In my free time, I enjoy volunteering at animal shelters, tending to my garden and potted plants, and caring for my two fur babies, Max and Bella.

Mary

Kennel Technician

Hey there, I’m Mary. I am a kennel technician and groomer here at Eagle Veterinary Hospital. I was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, and have been in animal care since 2000. I started out working as a kennel technician in Kirby, Texas. Despite knowing very little about dogs at the time, I learned a tremendous amount in my seven years there and developed a passion for the veterinary industry. Here at Eagle Veterinary Hospital, I spend most of my days striving to provide a high-quality boarding experience for our clients, their pets, and our resident stray dogs. Whether it’s giving toys and treats or spending time throwing a ball, I pride myself on giving each pet the one-on-one time they deserve. In my free time, I love home decorating and dog grooming. I find satisfaction in turning rough-looking animals into the best versions of themselves!

AT, a Goffin’s Cockatoo, was rehomed to the clinic several years ago and has loved his personal suite here ever since. As Chief of Security, he dutifully lets our receptionist staff know when a client enters the building. He is a classical music connoisseur and enjoys head bops, bananas, and nibbling fingers.

Cowboy

Clinic Supervisor

Cowboy has a mysterious past but showed up one day at the clinic and decided to stick around. He was raised here at Eagle Veterinary Hospital from a young age, and while shy at first, he loves anyone who will give him a treat. Cowboy is passionate about his supervisory role at the clinic, meowing at doors, and taking naps on office chairs.
